Today I will be continuing my back to school series with a backpack organization post! If you missed my first post you can click here.I personally need to have my backpack put together because it holds my life during the school day. I carry the Jansport big student backpack and love it. I will have two backpacks this year, one for A days and one for B days. I will be getting the same backpack just in a deep plum color!
I have my backpack monogrammed in a light pink. I also hang a Bath and Bodyworks hand sanitizer on the outside.
My first tip for organizing my bag is to alternate the binders so the bindings don’t all touch. This will save space since the bindings aren’t all on one side.
Tip 2:
In the biggest pocket I also keep a folder. I keep a folder so when I get to the end of class and don’t have time to put a paper in your binder I can put them in the folder for later. I also keep homework on one side of the folder.
Tip 3:
I organize your flash cards instead of having them all over the bottom of my bag. I use an index card holder that has multiple dividers so I can separate the cards by subject.
In the second largest pocket I keep my agenda, the book I am currently reading, and my essentials kit.
Tip 4:
I like to keep a small zipper pouch in my bag with all the random things I might need throughout the day.
In this pouch I keep lotion, a compact mirror, the elf eye makeup remover pen, blotting sheets, tissues, some hair ties and bobby pins, and a small rollerball perfume!
Tip 5:
Instead of keeping a pencil pouch, I put my pens and pencils in the front pocket of my bag. This makes them easily accessible for whenever I need them.
Tip 6:
Most backpacks have the pocket that is made for pens and pencils. In this pocket I keep other necessities like a calculator, highlighters, and my wallet.
Tip 7:
I ALWAYS keep a few dollars in my bag. I am always getting hungry or thirsty during class.
Tip 8:
I have multiple shades of lipgloss and lipstick. I keep a chapstick, a clear lipgloss, then lipstick that goes with the season.
Tip 8:
My final tip is to always have a water bottle with you and to stay hydrated!
I hope you all enjoyed todays back to school post! Stay tuned the rest of the month for more back to school themed post!
