Who am I as a fashion blogger? What kind of style do I have? If you have been following me for any amount of time you would notice some days I dress really preppy and other days I dress more boho/chic. Recently my goal has been to find a way to combine the two into my own style. With that said today I am going to talk abut the progression of my style and what kind of style you can expect to see on this blog.
I have always been a fan of the preppy look because the hipster/basic style was little over the top for me and I felt as if I couldn’t pull it off. Ever since the start of middle school my style has become preppier and preppier. I have recently felt like I want to truly find my style. Sometimes I will question whether I should post an instagram picture because it is not the preppy style others may like. Don’t get me wrong I love the clean lines and classy aspect of the preppy style but what I love most is the preppy pieces mixed with other non preppy pieces.
At the same time I loved the preppy style I also wore high waisted short and crop tops. You didn’t see as much of the side of me because I often would not post it.
I am not preppy nor am I hipster or boho. For the past month I have really been trying to figure out a way to combine the two styles. If I know anything about the style I want to have I know I want to be chic and feel comfortable in the clothes I am wearing. There is nothing worse than going to school and realizing that your outfit is not you.
On this blog you will see clothing pieces that would not be normally combined together put together. My boyfriend jeans are one of my favorite pieces, they are chic and comfortable. However, I also love my periwinkle and pink Vineyard Vines button up. Those are two pieces you would never put together but they look so adorable when you put them on.
If I have to sum up my style in one sentence I would say it is; Preppy pieces with a chic New York City twist. I hope you will follow my blog as I grow into my own style and truly find out who I am as a fashion blogger! I also hope you will learn a thing or two about how to be YOU and how to be comfortable in anything you wear!
